How do I get one of those video game tester jobs?
I want to know how do I get to be one of those video game testers. I tried something and spent like $50 and well it was a waste of course cause I been had. I love to play video games and I want to know how can I do that so I could play never released games and also do something I love for once in my life. That is the career of my dreams. If someone could help me that would be wonderful thanks.

Hey, uh, my nephew is like REALLY good at video games... Where can he get an actual video game testing job? I tried googling it, but all I get is junk sites He's 15Hey Sobeit33I'm not a complete moron, you know.I know what beta testing entails I'm going into the video game design field, currently working on my degree and beta testers have to be good enough to kick the game's butt like I probably wouldn't be at all the FPS games he plays and they find & report glitches, problems, etc and the overall appeal of the game like if it's WAY too easy, the team who made it might want to add some difficult levels to it or something, etc not to mention the marketing research involved.My question was about how to find testing jobs, not about what they are. Again, I'm not stupid.It's not like I'm going to walk into every video game company in the state & say " Hey, got any testing jobs available?" ... there has to be SOME kind of job search resource for it.btw, if he wanted to be a journalist, he'd be interested in actually reviewing the games. He's not. He isn't big on effort in english class And also, if he's FIFTEEN, what makes you think he'd go to school to review games for a living anyway??? Fifteen year olds play video games, if they're really good, they might find glitches or " boiling points" that others missed.... but its not really a LIFETIME type job. That's like telling someone to get an Associates degree in Business if they ever want to work at McDonalds. Yes, some people work there forever, but most DON'T.

The indoor pool im currently employed with is being remodeled and ill be out of a job for a while. I loooooooooove video games and a friend suggested i pick up a video games test job. You know, the guys who test the games, look for bugs, and compile reports of the glitches they find? I live in Atlanta, GA and did a google and bing search but to know avail. I am at westwood collage studying to become a videogame programmer, and my goal is to become a videogame tester while in collage to network and meet people in the field and hopefully get my foot in the door.I, however, donot know exactly what a game testers responcibilitys are, I assume you have to play each game several times looking for glitches or what not, but is it a suit and tie work setting is it in a cublical or take the work home?
