Smash your game system.... or tell your mom to hide it

I know the feeling. Use your xbox 360 as a reward to doing your homework or studying for a test. As soon as you complete your homework or studying jump on that xbox! Don't forget to do your mother's chore list :p

Have someone hide it from you. Going cold turkey is best.

Ask if your mom can hide it or give it away.

You don't have to stop playing cold turkey! The key is moderation. Instead of playing all day, only play for an hour or so after you have finished your school work. Discipline yourself so that playing games is the reward for finishing your homework.

Sell it for a while till your grades go up

Actually, i would NOT play it as a reward. i tried that, but i just end up rushing through my homework to play it. what i do is just on nights i have homework, i don't play any videogames until 8:00 P.M. It's not as hard as you would think! Then you have all the time you want to play on the weekends. on nights you dont have homework, play all you want.

You can try doing you're homework first and play games after even if it takes you 6 hours to do you're homework. It took me 6 hours to finish my homework but I felt better after finishing my homework because now I get to play video games or watch tv without having to worry about homework. You don't need to stop playing video games! I think if you play an online game, it is impossible to stop playing but if you buy an offline game, you will turn off the game after 45 minutes of boredom. Lucky for me, I play PS1 games and PS2 games like Rugrats, Syphon Filter, Yugioh, and Socom because they start to get boring after an hour of playing(sometimes). I only want to stop playing PS3 games because the online games are very addicting! I hate waking up in the morning knowing that I'll play an online game for hours and not stop until I try and get one of my goals in the game. You can try buying offline games to play or do you're homework first and then have fun! I would recommend you to buy a good offline game and play it after FINISHING you're homework and play you're online games before you're small vacation. NEVER EVER play the game first after you get out of school because it would be extra harder to do you're homework! Trust me! Suffer now and be a winner later! :)
